Meet Valeria Dominguez

HR experience. Benefits expertise. A personal “why.”

Valeria Dominguez has spent her career on both sides of employee benefits: 10 years in Human Resources and benefits administration, and 15 years helping employers and employees through Colonial Life.

She understands the pressure HR teams face—and the reality that every benefits decision impacts real people, real families, and real life.

Her “why” started at home.
“I wish we had known something like this existed.”
A Personal Why

Taking care of people became personal.

When Valeria’s mother was diagnosed with cancer, she saw how quickly a health crisis can become a financial one.

Later, when she learned how cancer insurance can help during a covered illness, one thought stayed with her:

That experience is why her team leads with education—before enrollment, not after.

Her approach is simple: We educate. Employees decide. And we take care of your employees, so they can take care of your business.
Education Before Enrollment

Education before enrollment.

Valeria doesn't believe success should simply be measured by how many policies are sold.

It starts with whether employees understand what they have and what is available to them.

That's why her organization emphasizes one-on-one Benefit Counselors, bilingual education, and conversations employees can actually understand.

Because giving employees the ability to make informed decisions is part of taking care of them.

One-on-one Benefit Counselors
Bilingual education
Conversations employees can actually understand
No unnecessary insurance jargon
No assumption that every benefit is right for every employee
We educate. They decide.
Leadership Philosophy

Building people is part of building the business.

Valeria's leadership philosophy extends beyond clients and employees.

Developing people has become an important part of the organization she has built.

Today, her team includes 60+ professionals supporting employers and employees, and her office has been recognized within Colonial Life not only for production, but also for developing people, client retention, and employee participation.

That distinction matters to Valeria.

Growth isn't simply about writing more business.

It's about building a team capable of serving people well as the organization grows.

60+ Professionals

But the numbers and awards tell only part of the story. For Valeria, the real measure of the organization is the trust of the businesses that continue working with her team, the professionals she has helped develop, and the employees who leave an enrollment conversation understanding their benefits better than when they walked in.
